Bradytely: arrested evolution or evolution at very slow rates outside the rate distribution usual for a given group of plants or animals

Horotely: biological evolution at rates within the range or rate distribution usual for a given group of plants or animals

Tachytely: evolution at a relatively rapid rate tending to result in speedy differentiation and fixation of new types
